The Lovely Bones was okay. The premise was good - telling the story of what would happen if a murdered girl could watch life continue without her after her death. But it was very cliche and felt "Lifetime-movie-ish." I appreciated how realistic portions of the plot were, but hated the heaven scenes. I wouldn't read it again, but am curious about the film adaptation and will be watching it soon for comparison. ...more
