Finally finished reading Little Women. It took me awhile near the end because I found it almost unbearably sentimental and sappy. Personally, I think the first half - the original - story was a better story with more interest and goings-on than the sequel (which was written after many clamours for one). The version I have is the corrected by Alcott edition. However, reading the introduction made me feel a little sad because the publisher replaced the idioms and regional slang with words and phra
