This was another instance of plucking forbidden fruit. I may have bought it at the same time as The Exorcist. And once again, I read it in one sitting, staying up all night in order to finish it. I think I had already seen the film, but the book was, if anything, even creepier.

Stephen King never ceases to amaze me, this book gripped me until the end. I am obviously a huge fan of his work, and this was definitely an awesome one. I have never seen the movie, if there is one, i would always read the book first, as i believe it is usually better than the movie. The writing was clever, and kept me on the edge of my seat, or in my case, bed.

This book started out so slowly, there were actually a few days that I didn't think I was going to make it through the whole thing. Luckily, I decided to give it one more weekend (not to mention my pride has never let me put a book I started down). Once I hit that magic 50-page mark, the amount of pages you're supposed to give every book, it sped up beautifully. Mr. King lived up to his usual high standards.
