Edit: I actually read this book over a period of four days: June 19, 20, and July 3 and 4. I went on vacation right in the middle...

This book gets a solid 3 stars from me. It's clear that Benjamin Saenz, the author, really is a poet: the writing is lyrical, soft, and almost comforting, in some specific way I have yet to really explore. I loved the beginning, the middle was meh, and the ending was decent.

I don't think dramatic, 14-15 year old teenage boy novels are for me, they just leave something to be desired. I think my main problem was lack of plot, it kinda doesn't go anywhere and I'll probably avoid these books in the future.
