What Members Thought
If you are a friend of saga"s then you will enjoy this well written adventure of the Bonner family and their friends and enemies. Much like the Outlander series, which I never thought I would enjoy, but did, and this is why I looked for another writer with the same genre. Sara Donti has not disappointed me, I am starting the third book in there series, and happy that are more after this one.

"Elizabeth Middleton leaves a comfortable life in the upper-class England of 1792 to join her father in his colonial mission in a remote American outpost. It is not long, however, before Elizabeth realises that her father has brought her to America under false pretences." (From Amazon)
Elizabeth and Nathaniel are just as lovely as Claire and Jamie. I love this novel all the characters are great! My guilty pleasure read. ...more

I don't care how much they say this is not based on and a continuation of the Last of the Mohicans movie- it sure read/felt that way to me. But while I am not a great fan of that movie I did love this novel! Didn't keep a reading journal back then but I do recall enthusing about this book and recommending it and the sequels to fans of Outlander as a book with a similar romantic adventure feel. Loved the whole extended family thing and the wilderness setting. I want a secret under-the-waterfall
