Vaikea lähteä arvostelemaan kirjaa, koska toisaalta se oli ihan mielenkiintoinen mutta sitten oli paljon myös sellaista josta en pitänyt. Itse Harrietin tarina katoamisineen ja siihen liittyvine juttuineen oli mielenkiintoinen ja piti otteessaan mutta kaikki se puhe niistä verojutuista oli todella tylsää luettavaa. Kirjoittajalta kesti alussa todella pitkään että pääsi niin sanotusti juttuun mukaan, sen jälkeen kirjoitus oli pitkään aika mielenkiintoista mutta lopun löpinät ja kaikki se ol ...more

I've had this one on my shelf for a while, but for some reason I could never bring myself to pick it up. I think it was because this book is so widely known and affiliated with rape, and I wasn't sure if I could handle it. But I did, and it was interesting.
The story itself is very captivating. The beginning starts with multiple different characters' perspectives and eventually they all relate. Basically, our main characters are on the hunt for a murderer ...more

This was a title it was hard for me to engross with at the beginning but really fell into it about a quarter of the way through. it ended up having a good pace that kept me turning pages long after I thought of putting it aside for a bit. had a few minor twists not expected but i was pleased to have been able to foresee most of the major plot twists.
I don't know what to say about this book. I didn't love it, but didn't hate it either; some parts were enjoyable to read, other parts were disturbing.
