Far from the best book ever written, but definitely a memorable classic. I can understand both those who love this book and those who hate it.

The Old Man and the Sea is a nice little book about life itself. It's remarkably slow, but that's how it's meant to be. And there are reasons why Hemingway is a legend.

Writing a novella that packs a punch is one thing, but making it a theme-park of themes about life is another. A true gem in the treasury of World literature.

I hope the tourists from the party bought whatever is left of the fish at a good price and Santiago got a motor boat with everything he needed and a ticket for baseball match for himself and the young boy.
