I just...I have a lot of feelings right now. Leave me alone for a little bit.

A solid start to this trilogy. This was a bit confusing at times because I have no prior knowledge to gargoyles, wardens, or this area of the paranormal world.
The characters:
Stacey and Sam: friends of our main character Layla. Sam seems nice and Stacey is alright but she is definitely boy crazy which I don't want this to interfere with the love triangle that's already forming.
Abbot and other Wardens: not a fan. I know they kept secrets from Layla to protect her...but we all know how Pretty L ...more

This is the first book by Jennifer L Armentrout that I have read and Holy Hell it was amazing! So amazing, that as soon as I neared the end of he book I pre ordered Stone Cold Touch.
The descriptions of the demons and Wardens are spectacular. The storyline is compelling and the characters are intriguing.
Layla is an amazing heroine. she is determined and strong and I really enjoyed reading about her.
Zayne is sweet and caring and the way that he looks after Layla was touching...

This was so fun and I loved Roth but I know the second book is gonna have a major love triangle like mostly with Zayne and I’m not here for it!!! Also, because of the spin off series, I know she ends up with Roth so I just need to get through the Zayne scenes (which might be cute but I’m fully team Roth!!!)))
