OMG! My second Jennifer L. Armentrout read and yet again I am blown away by her writing style! Once again I am yet pleased and satisfied with her work!

I absolutely loved everything about White Hot Kiss. The paranormal aspect was amazing, the use of gargoyles was different, the demons weren't all bad and the romance was just perfection.

Layla is a super kickass protagonist! She is half Warden and half Demon. She has been raised by the Wardens all her life. She identifies with her Warden side and r OMG! My second Jennifer L. Armentrout read and yet again I am blown away by her writing style! Once again I am yet pleased and satisfied with her work!

I absolutely loved everything about White Hot Kiss. The paranormal aspect was amazing, the use of gargoyles was different, the demons weren't all bad and the romance was just perfection.

Layla is a super kickass protagonist! She is half Warden and half Demon. She has been raised by the Wardens all her life. She identifies with her Warden side and rejects her Demon side. She soon learns that she must accept both of her sides. Layla was able to see souls and was able to tag Demons for the Wardens. Layla is strong mentally and physically because through every thing she endured (almost getting killed multiple times, finding out the truth about her parents, being rejected and etc) she stands tall and lets nothing stop her. Layla was just perfect. Her friends were awesome as well.

Zayne, the handsome Warden, was a bit too reserved and quiet for my liking. He seemed to be scared of his father and the Alphas. I hated when he ignored Layla when she needed him, but I love how he embraced her when he did find her and found out what happened. Zayne is a sweet guy I just wish he'd stick up for what he loved and stopped being so afraid of the possibilities.

Roth was the freaking gotdamn man! For a demon he was hot, on point and straight forward. He kept me laughing throughout the whole book with his honesty, sarcasm and just egotistical ways. His pet Bambi was freaking awesome! Finding out who Roth really was interesting, but it still had no true bearings. I love how towards the end Roth helped Zayne to protect Layla -- that takes a true man and even how he traded places with Zayne at the end -- priceless

The romance was absolutely outstanding. The love triangle was created perfectly, without flaw. I honestly prefer Layla with Roth because he is so upfront with his feelings for her. However, Layla and Zayne just make perfect sense. In the end though, I am Team Roth !

The twists and turns that happen between the Wardens and Demons is crazy! Even with finding out who Layla's parents are I was blown away.

That ending with Layla was freaking crazy! Her shift was freaking awesome! I can't express how happy that freaking made me.

This book gives mystery, suspense, shock and so much more -- A+ in my books!

Definitely running to go forth and read Stone Cold Touch! ...more

A solid start to this trilogy. This was a bit confusing at times because I have no prior knowledge to gargoyles, wardens, or this area of the paranormal world.

The characters:
Stacey and Sam: friends of our main character Layla. Sam seems nice and Stacey is alright but she is definitely boy crazy which I don't want this to interfere with the love triangle that's already forming.
Abbot and other Wardens: not a fan. I know they kept secrets from Layla to protect her...but we all know how Pretty L ...more

This book was very original, I loved the demon and gargoyle aspect. I haven't read anything with gargoyle's and I am glad that Jennifer decided to write a book featuring them. This book had a lot of action, romance and drama. I loved the character of Roth, he was dark, mysterious and even though he was a demon, he was so loyal to the main protagonist, Laurel. I am excited to continue on with this series and as always Jennifer's writing has an addictive quality to it. 4 out of 5 stars ...more

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would!! Jennifer is such an amazing author and she knows how to write a story that keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat. She has definitely become one of my favorite authors!!

This book was so amazing. I loved the world, the characters, the romance, the action and suspense!!

I honestly can't even put into words how awesome and great it was! I can't wait to read the next book! ...more
