It's the first time that I write a review and I hope I do it fine because I have some trouble writing in English sometimes. Sorry if there are a lot of grammatical errors. Any correction is welcome!! :3 I need to improve.

Mmm... reading this book was weird. I remember I just read it because I promised my brother to read it before the movie came out. He told me he thought I may like it because I love Sakura Card Captor, Kimi Ni Todoke, Twilight (books) and a lot of corny stuff :P .... but when I s It's the first time that I write a review and I hope I do it fine because I have some trouble writing in English sometimes. Mmm... reading this book was weird. I remember I just read it because I promised my brother to read it before the movie came out. He told me he thought I may like it because I love Sakura Card Captor, Kimi Ni Todoke, Twilight (books) and a lot of corny stuff :P .... but when I started reading it I was kind of blocked (or at least that's what I think because a couple of weeks before reading the book I saw "Grave of Fireflies" and I was literally dying and crying extremely hard. I didn't want to cry like that again xD and that's why I didn't want to become attached with the characters that much)

I remember I just read it because I was running out of time and I thought Hazel was weird. She accepted going to Augustus house on the first day she met him, she was always thinking that he was really hot and that maybe he wanted to kiss her, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. I don't know, they way she thought was weird for me and also very shallow at times.

It took me several days to finish it, but suddenly I started liking it. Augustus was very funny and I also liked Isaac character a lot. I think it all falls in the simply reason that I am corny :P I started loving the way Augustus was with Hazel and how she started feeling something really cute for him.

Then... before they mentioned in the book, I asked my brother... "Augustus is the one who is going to die right?" and he just told me to keep reading. I was almost sure because I didn't think Hazel story was going to be the same as the one from "An Imperial Affliction" and... I kept on reading.

So... when I reached the part where Augustus was in the elevator and something hurted him I was like "okay... here it comes" xD and that they I finished the book and I couldn't stop crying. So, at the end, like always... I became attached and very emotional, but thank God I didn't cry as hard as with the movie "Grave of Fireflies".

I ended up loving this book because I fell in love with Augustus' character and his relationship with Hazel and Isaac. I also started understanding Hazel's character, and well... my heart started breaking in half during all their journey.

This story was very sad but it was touching and it was also funny and beautiful. I loved Augustus' letter because I was able to see how he felt for Hazel and I admired him because he was capable of seeing the bright side despite everything that happened and he helped Hazel feel the same way. I also liked that he didn't pretend to be perfect, he was kind of selfish like most of us are and that's why my favorite quote was "I got my wish I suppose. I left my scar."

But.. well. As everything all my opinions fall under emotions. I know that most of the people on this page know a lot about literature and focus in another aspects of this book (which I admire a lot), but it's just my opinion :) ...more

This book is captivating, mesmerizing, and most of all gives me the feels.
FEELS-making me cry,gasp,scream,yell,think,and and all of the other emotions.
