A very interesting read, with great lessons and experiences that everyone can relate to. However, I felt it was very obvious that the author is not a writer by trade. Not because his technical skills were lacking, but I felt that he skipped over major parts in the story that I wish had been given more detail. I was expecting and hoping for more detail on the teenage and adult years of the Wes Moores, and was disappointed that 85% of the book was focused on youth.
