Very enjoyable book for young people that doesn't condescend. Puts me in mind of the feelings I had reading A Wrinkle in Time in 4th grade; even as an adult, I still had to approach some of the events of the book with a sense of wonder. Kit and Nita have a refreshing relationship that I'd give a limb for in most books for JUV and YA readers these days...enjoys many of the usual tropes in JUV stories of weakness, bullying, making friends, etc., but uses them in a way that tells you a tremendous a

So You Want to be a Wizard is one of my favorite books.
And i made a group for it. but no one has joined. so just putting that out there. I have a Group.
Yeah, upon rereading this book, I am questioning why I ever doubted it. I was a little uncertain about why it was my favorite, but those doubts are long gone. As soon as I opened the book, I remembered the first time I read it, not liking it to much, then picking it up sometime later, finding out how amazing it was, and reading the whole series ...more
