What Members Thought
This book covers a lot of ground in the civil rights movement and the history of the KKK in the second half of the 20th century. It is often a tough and angering read, though it helps to know that there will be some comeuppance for the Klan members involved. While it is common to think of the civil rights movement as taking place in the 60s, the lynching and trials in this book took place in 1980s, and unfortunately the klan is still alive and well today. This is a timely and educational read.
