This is a page-turner, and reads more like a whodunnit and courtroom drama than nonfiction. It's an incredible (and tragic) story, about the serial killing of members of the Osage tribe, who were the wealthiest people in the nation at the time due to the oil reserves on their "underground reservation." Incredibly well researched, this book covers the story from the social injustice inflicted on the Osage, to the corrupt political and legal systems they operated under, to the early days of the FB ...more
