What Members Thought
This is a detailed story of Robert Ames (the Good Spy of the title) and the many connections he developed with key players in the middle east. Ames is an engaging figure, but it turns out the life of a spy can be somewhat mundane (no James Bond hi-jinks here). Though perhaps not as sexy as I'd hoped, it was a well-researched story that packs a powerful punch as the book reaches its climax with the Beirut embassy bombing.
