This is a masterpiece. Harper Lee, with her magical use of words and some very funny incidents, manages to take you back to your childhood. The book reflects on the discrimination of black people and tagged along is the subject of how girls are always treated as future home-makers in our society. The main protagonist, Jean Louise Finch aka Scout is an adorable little girl and you fall in love with her the moment you start reading the book. This book was amazing, it covers so many themes -racism, coming of age, prejudice and compassion- and Lee covers all of these so well within such a short number of pages, it's incredible.
There were definitely moments where I shed a few tears, and the use of a childhood perspective to deal with quite serious and ''adult'' issues was absolutely brilliant,
