I ate this up. I have read Katherine Center in the past and really enjoyed it. She creates characters with so much depth and I feel like their "issues" are so well thought out. I know KC always does closed door, but I wanted even just a fade to black or SOMETHING. I beg for an extra chapter. Overall a great book and I'd recommend!! ...more

Another good read by Katherine Center. I really liked the story & plot, the flow, MCs, and the secondary characters. I do love her writing!

In this book, I particularly liked how she set up a low key, laid-back vibe of the Hollywood scene and of Charlie - a famous screenwriter. Throughout the book Charlie's vibe kept the story grounded, a perfect blend with Emma's enthusiasm.

I am not a fan of books where the FMC is an avid reader or writer because it constantly pulls me from the book. The FMC was a writer in this book. Also, Center hammered in the moral of the story at the end of the book which was extended far too much. This prevented me from having the uplifted feeling rom-coms typically give me. There were decent parts in the book but ultimately fell flat.
