I really enjoyed this fake relationship with a celebrity story and flew through it in no time. I always enjoy each Kylie Scott story that I've read. They're just fun and feel good romances with just a little angst. ...more

I loved this book!! From the HOT 🔥🔥 cover to the sweet ending, I was on the edge of my seat. Who doesn’t love a Hollywood romance?? Norah was a hoot!! I highlighted so many of her quotes. I love Kylie’s heroines. They are who they are and if you don’t like it, then that’s your problem. She ran circles around Patrick. It took him a little while to catch up but he got there eventually. One complaint….I need an epilogue. I want to see them one, five or ten years down the road!!!! It says this is bo ...more

The premise is great, I mean we’ve all fantasised about a celeb crush turning into a relationship (I have a list of them). But the follow through felt rushed.
Norah is curvy, forthright and non-judgemental. She gets by with odd jobs and sass. Her grandmother is her world, something I can relate to completely.

Normally this would represent a challenge to our feisty heroine, except their budding relationship is fake. Due to a backfired affair with Liv Anders, the former sweetheart of Stage Dives Jimmy Ferris. I love a random throwback to another series in the same universe.
Norah handles the glitz of the few Hollywood events with surprising ease. She gets along with Patrick’s friends and vivacious assistant Mei (who made the book for me) and even wins over publicist Angie quickly. Patrick is a harder stone to crack and when he does crack, it’s all in all at once.
I’d take him though. The strong silent type does it for me.
The blurb alludes to an inevitable break up. One assumes it’s for publicity sake and to help Patrick bolster his tarnished career (thanks Liv). But it isn’t. It’s lacklustre and not really that big an issue. I thought there’d be a huge misunderstanding or rumour from the heart of Hollywood or another scandal.
For this reader, Fake started with promise. Hearing Kylie is writing a new book always piques my interest. Teaser chapters released in her Facebook group definitely had me wanting more.
The build up was funny and Norah is a delight, definitely up there in my top five ultimate Kylie Scott Heroines list. There’s a bit of unexpected drama and this pushes Patrick to wake up.
The ending left me frustrated. I wanted more drama and emotion and for them to fight more to be together.
This had unrealised potential but still a great fast read.

He comes across Norah a waitress perfect for a relationship that's not going to be real .

Will his people and the public believe it.
