I really liked this book until it got towards the end. How Rose acted was just plain stupid, and Jack was so whipped at the end, almost like her trained puppy dog, it didn’t match with his personality at the beginning of the book where he was more of a strong character. How Jack was at the end was totally unrealistic, the things he said to her were so cheesy they almost made me gag.

Rose Coleson & Jack Hawthorne

I've been trying to figure out how I feel about this book. I liked Rose, but I felt like she was made out to be the victim. Or maybe that was just the device to make her a character that's easier to sympathize with. I don't know.

Then there's Jack. He basically rushes her to make a decision to marry him without wanting to answer her questions. Then he acts like a douche. Even with that you can tell there more under the surface.

This was a decent read. It was hard to get to like our main girl, Rose. She seemed to be a little too independent, but also a little too needy. The plotline was good. But I didn't get much sexual chemistry.

I will definitely try this author again. She has a good style. I just didn't get much chemistry in this one. ...more
