When it comes to Morton, I find myself somewhat of a broken record. I gush and squee and blather on but I just can’t help it. Because…every time it’s true. I think I have a favorite or perhaps she’s outdone herself only to be proven wrong again and again. I absolutely adored Oz. I still do. And yet, I am just as smitten with Milo. This new series has me held with bated breath, desperately awaiting more. There is no other way around it, I’m addicted. As soon as one of Lily’s creations lands in my ...more

Whilst this was a lot different in tone to the first book, I really liked it. Seeing Milo gain back his confidence through hard work and also Niall's unwavering support was fabulous and seeing Niall fall for Milo without any ridiculous pushing away made this a big win for me.

Loved it!

1.5 stars. As with the first book in this series, this story starts strong: round characters, compelling issues, believable dialogues and actions. Also similar to the first book, by about 60-70% in, the majority of the tension is over, and the rest is draggy bit scenes. Milo’s ex and Niall’s ‘friends,’ a large part of the final 30%, were mostly 1-D representations of a singular type, and I kept wondering when the story was going to end when I should have been riding high to a climax. Morton has ...more

Overall I loved this like I've loved all of this authors books.

Overall.

I could have done without Milo's brother and the chick and then the vacation to the ski house. Seriously, I wish all that could vanish. Not from their youth but from their present.

I loved these guys with the baby! Loved!

Bequia Read - That's about all I have right now. I'm trying to go back and jot something down for the books I read on vacation and most of them I seem to have only a random thought or two. I needed to write so

I absolutely loved this one. In the first book you kind of seeing Milo & Niall dancing around each other, not really enough to say, hey wait there is some history there. But boy do we get their full backstory, or at least Milo's in this one. Milo has known Niall for a large chunk of his life. Niall & Milo's brother, Gideon who I did not like at first, went to school together & then became friends with benefits. Milo has had a crush on Niall from almost day one. But, he thinks that Niall only see ...more

It took me a while to get through this one. I admit I was icked out that Niall had been sexually involved with Milo's brother a month before he was with Milo. I wish that relationship had been way in the past, not so recent, even if it was just sexual. I might have been able to get past it if it wasn't a big part of the middle section of the book. I'm also not so found of the "be my sexual teacher" trope. Tiring.

The MCs were sweet, and I liked them individually. A lot of their angst outside of t

I love this series. Chi an Mor is a beautiful grand Cornish country estate and it’s occupants are just perfect in their own way. This book tells the tale of Milo and Niall. A shy retiring guy with a stammer and a love of art would not be the first person you would expect to end up with Niall. He is loud, brash, sarcastic and a lover of worshipping the human body. Yet they are perfect for each other and the growth of their friendship and relationship is realistic and beautifully written.
