4.5 stars. I can't seem to figure out how to get the stars to rate right:( This was my favorite so far in the series. I read a few people didn't like the heroine for some reason but I liked her. I thought she was smart and tough and courageous. I loved the hero. I liked the way this story opens the series to a new enemy. I got this on audible and enjoyed the reader as well.

This is the one I have been waiting for. Tegan is such a badazz, that he was instantly the Breed Warrior I wanted to know more about.

I knew Tegan would need a woman that could kick some major azz, but at the same time someone who had a great capacity of love, patience, and gentleness. I could tell from the previous book that he would end up with Elise, but I didn't think that she would add up at the time. I thought that maybe she was a bit too pampered and fragile to be with a man like Tegan.
