I find myself in a rather odd place on this one. Never have I not fallen head over heels in a book by Keeland -- but something about this one just didn't set right with me. Even with that being said, there's a lot to really like -- love -- laughter -- and melt over a dreamy looking new cover, along with Izzy, the step-daughter/step-mom relationship was an extra layer of development that I truly enjoyed. Loved it! Really liked both Hunter and Natalia, and I enjoyed their chemistry and how things built between them from the very beginning. I also found Hunter’s back story unexpectedly touching - one part really had me in tears. But it was also a very sexy read. Loved Hunter’s dirty mouth! :-p

This was a very fun book I didn’t want to put down! Definitely one of my favorites of Vi Keeland!

I loved Hunter from the start. He has that perfect mix of confidence and cockiness that I love. Add that to the fact that we find out that behind that lays something much deeper and vulnerable, he was near perfect. This is especially true with the way he is with Nat (and even Summer) and Izzy.

I loved Nat also, especially how she is with Izzy even after everything that she went through with her ex. I love books that has a deep sense of friendship and family, and this book has that in spades.
