I’ll admit, I did have a hard time in the beginning with this one, mainly because it felt too much like a YA book. The “h” Reese is very shy and only being 19, has a few insecurities. It isn’t until about halfway thru that you find out why, and I have to admit, I did not see that coming. After the big “secret” was revealed, I did like her a lot more. Even though she was still so innocent, she was also stronger and braver than I thought she was.

Real was a book that I fell in love with as soon as I read it. I have loved every book in the series after it. This one was no exception. The story of Maverick and Reese was great. It was full of emotion and excitement. It had two people whose past had defined them but they both wanted to make their own way without the past making it for them. We got to see a good bit of Remy and Brooke in this one, plus a lot of their son Racer. This book was great and I loved every page of it! Five stars!
