I'm not trying to be mean here but I really did not enjoy this book and GR tells me that 1star means precisely that. I'm sorry to say but this did not even meet my "just okay" standards.
I just read https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... and was hoping to prolong my rock star experience but I guess I was wrong.

This book blew me away. Tijan does it every time. I never have to even question buying her books. I just do it the minute they're released. They are that good.

Sustain is so much more. It's raw, edgy and full of angst.

I love Tijan, and this was a good read. It had a few things that bothered me though like Braden's tolerance of Emerson's treatment of Bri and the thing that Bri did to cause the major rift in the book. I didn't understand her response to that or why she ran to Elijah afterwards. It would've been a 5 star for me without those issues.
