This was the perfect re-read to start off the New Year! I loved this story so much as a child and I'm relieved to say I still love it just as much! I also think re-reading The Silmarillion helped me to appreciate it in a new way-I will admit to being obsessed with dragons as a kid so I was unfortunately Team Smaug as a child, but after reading about the dragons in The Sil it definitely gave me a new perspective on the old worm. Honestly still one of the best reading experiences for me ...more
