This book didn’t feel like real life to me, it was everything and more. I enjoyed how we got to see what it was truly like back then to be a individual such as evelyn. I found myself falling in love with her story, even as heartbreaking as it was.

AHHHHH. oh my god. ok. let me catch my breath ~~because i'm totally not crying rn.~~

this book was easily one of the greatest books i've ever read. and i truly mean that. i've been told by so many people to read this. since so many people were telling me to read it, i'd hear countless plot spiels all sounding the same. yet by the ending, my mouth audibly dropped. i did not expect the plot twist and was completely shocked by how “Don't ignore half of me so you can fit me into a box. this book was easily one of the greatest books i've ever read. and i truly mean that. i've been told by so many people to read this. since so many people were telling me to read it, i'd hear countless plot spiels all sounding the same. yet by the ending, my mouth audibly dropped. i did not expect the plot twist and was completely shocked by how it all tied together. this book exceeded every expectation i had, and then some more.

as a big fan of TJR, i've been on a binge of her books. i've finally gotten around to this one, and i devoured it so quickly. i mean, how could you not? i had no idea that i would love it this much and that it would leave this much of an impact on me. this is tied as my new favorite book (tied with daisy jones & the six).

this is easily one of the best written books i've ever read in my life. ugh– i just can't stress it enough. PLEASE READ THIS BOOK IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY.

I love love loved this TJR novel! I was sobbing so hard after closing this book and when (view spoiler).
I feel like Evelyn was an amazing influence on Monique. She showed her how to believe in herself and that she too could make a difference in the world. i have taken a few days to contemplate on the entirety of this book... and i have to say it's a masterpiece. it is definitely one of those books that altered the way i see celebrities and stars from way back. it also changed the way i view hollywood during that time.

quite frankly, the world of evelyn hugo was an immersive one. i obviously know that this is a work of fiction, but i continuously found myself searching the name "evelyn hugo" a majority of times, only for fanart to bring me right ba ...more

This book is my all time favorite. I felt as though I was there with her. I was always rooting for her. she is a flawed character which made me appreciate her even more. This is the book I recommend to anyone and its definitely one of the books that shaped me.

Wowza. Did not expect to be this entranced with the book! I can’t even understand how captivated i became until i realized the clock said 1am🌝I loved the character development and the secrecy of the whole book. I’ve never read a book concept like this, but i never knew it could be this amazing and captivating. It kept me up all night and i couldn’t put it down for the life of me.
