4.5 how-did-i-not-like-this-the-first-time-i-read-it stars 🌟 This was so much better than I remembered! The world is magical, the writing is delightful, and the characters are so much fun. I love Julian so much. And Scarlett is a pretty good protagonist, though I can't say I'm a fan of Tella so far. The only issue with this book was the plot. It was pretty slow, and it just felt murky and hard to understand sometimes (that might be more of an issue with the worldbuilding though). I have read thi ...more

i really enjoyed this one. honestly i thought scarlett was annoying at first but THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT IN CARAVAL IS SO GOOD! overall it was extremely magical and mysterious, probably a new favorite

INCREDIBLE

i read up to page 90 sometime in 2020 and stopped reading, it wasn't that it wasn't interesting, i just wanted to read something else.

one of my friends absolutely LOVES this book, and she kept telling me that i have to finish it because it is just amazing. and i finally read, and finished, caraval. :)
