This is a book club selection and I really enjoyed it. Historical fiction is one of my favorite genres and Jessie Burton has written a great story about a young bride who arrives in Amsterdam in the Fall of 1686. She is gifted a miniature of her new home and proceeds to furnish it. Nella is only 18 when she marries and living with her husband, his sister and a pair of servants, she is initially overwhelmed and confused.
