Wow. Where to start? I was not expecting to love this story so much. I didn’t know much about it before reading, and so I was pleasantly surprised.
The author does an amazing job with the world building without it being too showy and thus boring. The plot focuses on the challenge that the vampires can take part in to be blessed with a wish by the Goddess if they win. Very Hunger Games style. That ending... The tension, the feelings... Yeah, i genuinely need to know what happens next; the ending was a bit much to process with everything that went down.

4.25⭐️ Really enjoyed this book! The writing and storytelling was fab. Was also a big fan of the main characters and the romance, just wish that we got a bit more character building!

Finally a good, well-written fantasy novel. I feel like I haven't read a good fantasy read like this in over a year. The writing style was really good, the worldbuilding interesting and not one big infodump, and the romance was a perfect slowburn. Especially the latter makes it so much easier to stay engaged in the story for me. The book was fast-paced and plot-driven, so I do think some backstories should be explored a little more in the next installment to give the characters more depth, b ...more

i liked this! i never read fantasy but i loved the premise of this. ending made me kinda mad at raihn tho lol
