First off, I didn’t realize that figure skating is a college sport.
I enjoyed this book at first, but then it seemed to drag on and on. I didn’t really care for either main character.
My problem with Stassie (and what is with that nickname, it’s horrible) is that she acts like she’s an independent woman who doesn’t want a relationship with commitment. But if she’s so independent, why does she let Aaron be condescending and manipulative toward her? Why is she letting her figure skating partner ma ...more

This was just absolutely perfect! I adored all the characters (except one, of course) and their interactions were hilarious. The communication skills between Stassie and Nate were so refreshing and I loved how it didn't follow the typical romance novel arc with the dreaded third-act breakup. The vibes were immaculate!

This is one of those standout books you read that just redefines why you love a genre. Icebreaker was absolutely fascinating. I loved Anastasia's passion and determination for ice-skating while also recognising that while she's never desired a relationship, it's due to her own insecurities about being abandoned. Nate breaks down her walls in the most charming ways possible and these two characters co-dependency and genuine friendship with each other is so beautifully written. It also features a

So I went into this book taking a break from my usual fantasy romance consumption (contemporary romance is my 2nd favorite), but after reading it I realized it had become one of my favorite books. Binged it in 2 days! Definitely shelving this on the shelf of favorite books!

sometimes what i need is a book that doesn’t complicate my brain and take a lot of thinking to understand and that’s what this was for me.
i also love a FMC who is strong and doesn’t take crap from the MMC (idc abt other characters that much oops) and take this however you’d like, but i loved that Stassie had a fwb situation with someone else and for those wondering, no there’s no OW/OM drama, but i get so tired of FMC’s who are so shy and naive and all that. and there’s absolutely nothing wrong ...more

I really feel like this book was overhyped. Yes, it was a cute story but I have read cuter stories. What I thought was unique about it was the fact that the characters drama had nothing to do with the couple itself but an outside source (Aaron). I like that the MMC wasn’t toxic like I’m used to and that the MCs worked through their communication like people in relationships should. It’s a good book that shows what to do in a relationship instead of what not to do.
