This book. This... book.
I'm a little upset, right now. I started this book with high expectations. It had an interesting premise: a married nurse from the 1940s gets dropped into 18th century Scotland by a bunch of stones and, presumably, magic. She then had to try and not get killed while finding a way back to said stones so she can get home to her husband. Alright, it's interesting enough that I'll bite. And there was the fact that I have friends that quite enjoy this series.

There was a lot of action, coupled with a lot of really slow parts where I almost gave up on this book. Overall, I liked it. But I doubt I will ever move onto book 2. Also, thank goodness for the built in dictionary in my Kindle - there was a lot of unknown words in this book.
Time travel stories are some of my favorite and I've had this book on my tbr for years, but the length always was a bit intimidating. I finally decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. The story is immediately captivating. I was also listening along with the audio version and thought the narrator did a wonderful job. The romance between Claire and Jamie was enjoyable to see progress from their meeting to where the story ended. Excited to see what's next and plan to read the next book very so
