Plot
The plot was okay, but did drag a bit through the second half. Not bad, but it could have moved along faster. I like that there was a clear cut mission for both Ira and Elian and it wasn't just all over the place, which I have read too much lately. Of course, Lira's mission did shift by the end of the book to a new focus, but her goal was the same. I love sea adventures, so I wish there had been more sea/underwater scenes. I think Keto could have been utilized in the story more, even if the ...more

3 stars. Cool concept but I was not invested in the characters at all. They felt so generic and basic YA character like. The writing was fine, the pacing was smooth, and again the plot and setting were really interesting. If only Lira and Elian had been more developed this would’ve gotten a higher rating as it is a fun read. Their romance is fine though and I liked the way it developed. For what it is, this was a pretty cool book and I think it would be great for someone just getting into YA fan

I think my problem was me more than the story, which was a pretty original take on things. I just am going through another YA slump.
I honestly loved this book... i definitely want to read more of Alexandra Christo's books
