Final Girls is absolutely cray cray. At times I had no idea what I was reading and where RS was going with this madness of a book. It's not my usual type of genre but this really hit the spot after trying to figure out what to read.

There were definitely lots of twists and kept you guessing. Overall I enjoyed, however, the sections with Sam and Quincy were a bit much for me. I'm not sure I believed that was what would happen and it seemed contrived for the sole purpose of keeping you questioning things. ...more

This book was great, absolutely devoured it. My favorite character is Quincy always wanting to put a front on even though she was dying inside. I never expected the ending that was a great twist.

As a fan of horror films, I enjoyed the tropes in this book, it fully felt like reading an 80s slasher film. To the book's credit, I did not guess the ending. To it's detriment, a lot of the plot points felt completely unbelievable to me. I enjoyed it as a quick, chilling thrill ride, reminiscent of the movies I grew up watching. ...more

Shelves: mystery, horror, thriller

I'm a little torn on how to rate this. I'm firstly surprised by how much I enjoyed this. I read some reviews that were rather negative about this particular book and as a debut book, I figured I'd hold off reading it. Later, I did end up reading another book by the author and loving it and decided to go back and give this a try.
