This short story absolutely delighted me. I loved seeing more of Kaye and Lord Roiben together. They are such a darling, albeit a strange, couple. I can only hope that Holly Black will write more about them in the future. I really liked Kaye's perspective about Cardan and their conversation was enlightening. I think I fall in the category of people who don't really get the hype about this book. I'm probably not the target audience as it read like a middle grade for 80% of the book.
The story and characters felt a bit dull and the romance was non-existent. I will fight whoever says this is an enemies to lovers book. (view spoiler)

Shelves: audiobook, fantasy

as someone who has a difficult relationship with fantasy books i really enjoyed this although i think the fact i listened to the audiobook helped me a lot. honestly, don't know how i feel about jude and cardan but i want to know more so will definitely be reading the next book in the series.
