This book... Sarah J. Mass has actually developed her writing since TOG. I liked this book... no, loved this book, way better!
The characters were well thought out, I think that the first person perspective allowed us into the thoughts of Feyre better than a third person narrative, so that was nice. The world setting was brilliant, I loved it!
But, what can I say about Rhysand? I LOVE HIM. HE IS MINEEEEEEE.

I really enjoyed this book and I devoured it. The story is well written and the characters are fantastic. Everything feels so real!
Oh gosh, but what was that ending? Rhys reads Feyre´s mind and he stumbles and run away. Is there a second love story here? I need to read the second book RIGHT NOW.

This is a reread. And I am pleased to say that I enjoyed it far more than I did the first time. I believe the first time I read it I judged it based on how effective of a retelling this was. And it is not an effective retelling of Beauty and the Beast. If he can shapeshift at will, he's not really a beast and him wearing a mask really makes him seem more like the Phantom of the Opera than the Beas ...more

okay my thing is that it’s not a bad book, it’s just very overhyped. the writing is decent, and characters are pretty solid, the plot could’ve used some work, but the foreshadowing is good. overall this is just a “have fun romantasy” not a “sanderson level fantasy”
and that’s okay! i had fun. i was a little bored but i know what happens in the next book so im impatient.
but im a tog girlie at heart <3
