I can't remember the last time I cried this much for a book. The author took one of the most well-known figures in Greek tales - with of one the most well-known endings - and expanded on the story in an extremely beautiful and touching way. Patroclus is a great character and a wonderful narrator, you could /feel/ his love and his anguish and ... towards the end, his desperation, and it all contributes and creates a truly heartbreaking book. ...more

After all the wonderful things I’ve heard about this book I really wanted to like it, but I ended up having to force myself to finish it… (I’m happy that I did, because it certainly got better towards the end).
It would be a beautiful and touching love story, but I genuinely don’t understand what Achilles saw in Patroclus… and the book focuses so much on Achille’s physical beauty and power that it makes Patroclus seem shallow.

No tengo como explicar lo mucho que me gustó. No quería terminarlo así que lo alargue cuanto pude, pero son las últimas 50 páginas las que se aferraron a mi y me conducían al final y no pude soltarlo entonces.

La visión de Patroclo es sumamente preciosa de leer.

Las lágrimas fueron imposibles de detener y bueno que viva el amor. 🥺
