What Members Thought
Good. But not enjoyable. Basically a gross-out book. Definitely better than the previous book by the author that I read. This book shows signs of editing and choices, but not consistently - some stuff was there just cause. I found this book an effort to get through, especially at the beginning. I had to read without thinking deeply about what I was reading and it made reading a lot slower. And required an alternative much lighter book to switch to. I'll probably give the author one more book.

Not for the faint of heart / squeamish, but it was a good read which had me laughing out loud at times. It was a sheer sense of curiosity that drew me to the book when I first saw it pop up on one of my Goodreads friend's shelf, and I'm glad I picked it up. It's got me wondering what I would like "done" with my body after I die -- I've always thought cremation was the way I wanted to go, and that the funeral industry is just that -- an industry that is looking to make money off of other people's

Another great book by Mary Roach - funny, entertaining and insightful. I will admit that the first few chapters had me on the verge of barfing (literally) but that doesn't mean it wasn't worthwhile!! :) Very very good.

So beautifully written. So intriguing. No, it isn't poetry. It's a book about dead bodies. But I almost forgot! Looking forward to reading the rest of Mary Roach's works.
