What Members Thought
Was Oliver Sacks really as precocious as the boy he remembers in Uncle Tungsten? Given his huge extended family of scientifically inclined professionals, it's entirely possible. In this memoir Sacks intertwines his own adventures in chemistry with anecdotes of science history and tales of quite an interesting array of family members. It happily conveys the joys and wonders of science, making me just a wee bit jealous of those halcyon days of discovery.
