I read "The House of Eve" for a book club. But for the club, I probably never would have picked up a novel that dives into such a story of race, privilege, forbidden-love, unplanned pregnancy, miscarriage, heartbreak, and the pursuit of your goals at whatever the cost.
Many of the novels characters are Black, and the story is set in 1950s America.
