Lovely story in a magical world. Unfortunately like the real one not a perfect world. But the book is hopeful and shows that the world (any world) will be better when we follow our hearts and are open and kind to one another.
This is one of my favorite books I’ve read in a while! It’ll be a book I’m recommending to my friends for a long time. I absolutely loved the story arc, the characters (especially the children!), the world building, and the message of love and acceptance that this book has. It took me a little bit to get into this book, but once the main character got to the island it was such a great read.
This book made my heart smile. A wonderful mix of gentle advice, chosen family, and queer love. I wish I had a Linus Baker and an Arthur Parnassus in my life.
There aren’t enough stars for this. It made me feel happy from beginning to end and you can’t help but fall in love with every single character.
Definitely worth a read. Humor was spot-on with a well-developed world. Could get lost in this book.
