I read this book years ago and absolutely loved it, and I still enjoyed it this time around. However, it just goes to show how time and maybe prospective can affect how you view something.
I loved Emmaline and was proud of her for trying to find the information from her past. Especially doing it alone in an unfamiliar place when she's not used to that. Plus, seeing her growth throughout the story made me like her ...more

What a great start to a series! I have been hearing about this series for the past couple years and finally decided to read the first book. I was hooked from the first page! I like that you get to see things from both points of view. I thought the characters were very well done. The story line moved along so well it was hard for me to put the book down to go to bed!
