4.5 "Dawn is coming" Stars

Okay. Honestly, I was worried about this one. It was so sex-centric at the beginning that I felt kinda bored (I know, I know... it's weird to be bored by sex... but that seemed to be ALL there was for a while). And I didn't like Olivia which was so strange for me with a KA heroine. That being said, I LOVED Nick right from the jump. So I powered through because I refused to believe I wasn't going to like this one. And then, thankfully, it picked up for me.

This book has restored my faith in KA. I think I needed to read something from her that I know would be fantastic after reading The Deep End and not liking it, at all. This book, unfortunately is the end of the Unfinished Heroes series. Which makes sense, since it's Nick Sebring's story, Knight's brother.

I really loved Nick getting his happily ever after. And with him having been such a douche when he was in Knight, this shows his growth and redemptions.

The brother everyone hated in Knight has his own story filled with his challenges and growth leading to a love story only KA can write. Not my favorite KA book but I did like and enjoy seeing how Nick becomes a KA man. I really liked Olivia and really felt for how she was caught up in a few situations that were so totally out of her control. The bdsm angle of the story not only heats up Nick and Olivia's relationship but shows how Olivia tries to forget how she is caught in her family's violent ...more

Sebring (Unfinished Hero, #5) by Kristen Ashley

Truthfully? I almost gave up on this book at about 44%. This is unusual for me with a KA book. But, there it is. I was bored. I considered just clicking over to either the last chapter or the epilogue (which in true KA style are almost complete books in and of themselves). I didn't. I grabbed my Kindle and opened the ebook version, with thoughts of skimming ahead to see which direction to take. (I'd been listening to the audio version.) So liked nick's progression from the series and getting his own love, which I thought was a great choice. The times between him and knight were awesome in showing how two brothers can deal with "stuff". I wanted to cry and did several times in this story. So sad to see this series end.
