I am glad I stuck with this series even when I wanted to beat some sense into Jesse. He finally allows Ava to slip past his barriers although there are many surprises. I am sure I would not have been as patient as Ava. I would have been more sarcastic. I got my happy ending but not without gasps and raised eyebrows and anger. There just wasn't much to this entire series. I just really want to know why authors think we want the couples to end up married with kids? I mean I am a mom with screaming kids and all the issues that come with being a parent and it isn't always fun so that last thing I want to do when I read a book is have to follow some unrealistic story about how much awesome sex a couple is having while going through a pregnancy (that someone was tricked into) and then having twins to top it all off. I feel like this review needs a disclaimer- I was going through a really rough time while reading it, it took me much longer than normal, so my experience reading this book wasn't ideal.
It was a little slow for me. I adore Jesse, and I adore their journey through this book, but the ending could have worked a little better for me. I loved the epilogue, like hard, but I was left wanting a little more in between the end and the epilogue.

Loved.

Wasn't so sure when I started this series if I could take the obsession, manic control, and crazy possessive impulses of these two.

However, once Jesse's history was completely revealed, and Jesse and Ava learned how indestructible their love really was, this story won my heart.
