Okay, what kind of ending was that!!! I like this book. Honestly the book was kind of addicting, I wanted to keep reading more and more. And even though it was predictable I enjoyed it.

My problem is that the book was lacking a plot. I love beautiful romance stories, even if it is a love triangle, when they are executed perfectly. A friend recommended this book to me. I wasn't interested at all at first, thinking it must be another average fairy tale-like novel. The first few paragraphs did not appeal to me as much but after I got through a couple of chapters, that's when I got "hooked".

For me it was basically the book version of a reality tv show, so of course I loved it. Sure it's not ever going to be a classic but it was a fluffy easy entertaining read and I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy.

I still enjoyed this the second time around. However, knowing what is coming in The Elite, I'm not as excited about finishing this one and starting the next.

Update July 2024Listened to the audiobook again in 2024. Sent @ book to Camp Pamunkey Ridge with Kylie and wanted to re-read it before she got back. Finished it 5 minutes before arriving to pick her up. I enjoyed it again, and while I do really enjoy many audiobooks read by Amy Rubinate, I felt like this reading was a bit soap opera-ish and ...more
