This is a fantastic dystopia. I usually don't love the dueling narrators, but it really worked in this case. Not only that, but it really added to the intensity. The characters have a wonderful rawness. One huge compliment for this book is the way it ended. Spoiler alert! It is the first in a series. Sometimes authors give a huge hook at the end of a book to trap a reader into reading the next one. I'm not a fan of this. It's good. It was fast-paced and full of action. But I wasn't into it as I was with Divergent. Maybe the next two will be better? Or maybe it's better as a series and not as individual books. Anyway, I liked it.

Reread: June 2020

I liked the whole idea of the story and the characters...but it seemed to go to fast and some parts were predictable

I was a little disappointed with 'Legend', perhaps because I have been on a bit of a dystopian fantasy splurge but it just didn't live up to my hopes and expectations. I really enjoyed the premise but it felt a little hollow and unbelievable in places- how could the main characters fall for each other so quickly and resolutely?? Anyway, I would probably give the second book in the series a go just because I am a sucker for this kind of story but I wouldn't say that I am excited by the prospect. ...more

okay started out slow but it wasn`t boring. I think slowing I was understanding the book`s "world". The romance went a little too fast
but I just love the book enough I let it slide ,PLUS IT WAS ADORABLE!!
“What a joke! Poor little rich girl's fallen in love with the Republic's most famous criminal. "But I think it deserves a read
