Opal (Lux, #3) in The Wide Web of Friends in YA Books

I read this in one sitting because it's that AMAZING!!! I cannot get over what an astonishing writer JLynn is! This book has so many things going on, just like Obisidian and just like Onyx, but it's not too much that it overpowers everything. Everything is synchronized in a perfect little harmony. Dawson is back! How is that even possible and why was it so easy? That's all Daemon and Katy can think about even though they are so happy to have him home. But Dawson isn't the Dawson that Daemon and I read this in one sitting because it's that AMAZING!!! I cannot get over what an astonishing writer JLynn is! Dawson is back! How is that even possible and why was it so easy? That's all Daemon and Katy can think about even though they are so happy to have him home. But Dawson isn't the Dawson that Daemon and Dee grew up with. He's changed and rightfully so. He's been through hell and it's taken its toll on him and he still has no idea how to get Beth back. They also are worried about Will and what he has planned. Of course Blake doesn't stay away because he's that gnat you can't kill. Dee still won't speak to Katy. And they are trying to have a relationship while all of this is going on! They are probably as exhausted as Sam is up there!

I like Opal because it changes the pace up a little bit. It's still the same overall story, but it's different in a way that makes it very compelling and hard to put down. In Onyx they were all pretty much confused as to what was happening. What did the connection mean? Why did it happen? What is the potential of Katy's new powers? Why is the DOD so interested? Is Blake good or bad? (Well you still don't know that, but in my opinion someone should take a flyswatter to that gnat!) They spend all of Onyx searching for the answers. But in Opal they have an idea of what's going on. Since they now have Dawson and Blake they have insight to what the DOD is up to and how they are using the hybrids and Luxen. So they spend their time in this book training and planning on how to get Beth back.

I love Kamon even more now! I know I've said it before, but they are just the perfect book couple! Katy is going through so much, but Daemon is always there for her. She is really strong, but there is only so much death and destruction a once normal teenager can take! And oh my my, at the sexual tension and teasers! JLynn has straight up mastered how to write a super hot and mcsteamy almost sex scene. Almost being the key word because they pretty much had the worst timing ever and it was quite hilarious! Ya know even though it doesn't bother Katy, it really bothers me that Daemon can't say he loves her. I mean what the heck? He shows that he loves her and all that, so why can't he just say the words? He obviously loves her because he considers her just as important as his family and we know how important family is to him. Not to give any spoilers away, but it takes a worst case scenario situation for him to finally say it.

I'm so glad that her and Dee were able to make up because that really hurt my heart while they were apart. Katy already felt so guilty for everything and she really needed Dee! I really loved how Dawson was with Katy. He warmed up to her from the beginning and never treated her any different, in fact I think he liked spending time with her more than anyone else. Probably because she was the only one who didn't know 'before' Dawson.

And Blake that little scum bag! Why is he still hereeeeee?!? I hate you and you're a total creeper! And you bring unnecessary drama to Kamon!

Oh and Holy Cliffhanger!!!!

Gotta go and read Origin like right now! :) Look for that review tomorrow!

Okay!... Let me just gather myself after that horrible, sad but amazing an a way ending. Yes people, Jennifer gave us a cliffhanger. I do not forgive her.

Back to the book: This is another amazing book to go with the series. I swear, Jennifer never disappoints. I LOVE this series soooooo much! There's romance, mystery, action, paranormal, sci-FI and all this other stuff that makes the books so AWESOME!

I have to be completely honest with you, because you must be one of the two people who read my reviews (thanks, by the way ^^): I finished reading this book so far away in the past, that I don't remember a lot about it.

Blake, Go to HELL!!! I seriously hate this guy. He is definitely on my 'Most Hated Villains' list. I honestly don't get why he had to betray them YET AGAIN at the end. What was the point? I don't usually go googol eyes over book characters but Daemon *sigh* I would do him anytime!! He is the most sexiest, beautiful, perfect character EVER!! GREAT, just FREAKING GREAT!!!! It's almost 2 in the morning and I have to wait to start the next book.... DANG IT!!!!! WHY ME!!!?!?!?!!!
