The role of the Lasallian facilitator is to foster the thinking of community members, in association, to greater understanding and compassion. The process of learning takes place in the mind of each unique person and it will be the goal of the facilitator to support that learning.

This dialogue method is framed within the Lasallian Educational Mission and its values are reflected as follows:

awakening in community members a sense of the meaning of their lives as human beings,
helping them towards autonomy through personal reflection and development of a critical spirit,
helping them to think clearly, to express their personal opinions, to seek for and to respect truth,
teaching them to make use of their freedom, to overcome prejudices, ready-made ideas and social pressures,
forming them to listen, to seek, to understand, to trust others, to be ready to help others, to love to admire, to contemplate, all of this is to help develop the student in the image of their God.
