390 Hi Everyone!
I've been in La La land for a little bit but found my way back to goodreads so I hope no one kills me for posting a contest/giveaway.

This one is lasting a full 12 days and on each day, a new book will be given away. Just a few that I am giving away (in no particular order):
Harry Potter (Book 1)
The Notebook (such a lovely love story even my BF notebook himself!)
Tongue in Chic
Watermark (review on my blog)
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Today you can enter to win Vampireology but you have to act fast because it's one book each day for the next 12 days. Also, this contest is running INTERNATIONALLY so you don't have to live in the lovely USA to win! Details on my blog.

390 I get a lot of mine online because I'm too lazy to go to a bookstore. Don't get me wrong though, I love bookstores, just hate shopping with a bunch of people.

390 I think there's something wrong with the form on my blog. (Sigh) I will fix it.

390 Hi Everyone!
This is my very first ever blog contest that I am hosting to give away a FREE copy of Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning. The only catch is that you have to reply to my review post for this book with your first name and a valid email address. I will put the names in a hat and draw one winner this Friday. Nothing else to do besides wait and see if you won! I will email the winner for their address and ship you the book. So if anyone is interested in getting a free book that I think is worth reading, then please enter at:

Darkfever Synopsis(From
MacKayla Lane’s life is good. She has great friends, a decent job, and a car that breaks down only every other week or so. In other words, she’s your perfectly ordinary twenty-first-century woman.

Or so she thinks…until something extraordinary happens.

When her sister is murdered, leaving a single clue to her death–a cryptic message on Mac’s cell phone–Mac journeys to Ireland in search of answers. The quest to find her sister’s killer draws her into a shadowy realm where nothing is as it seems, where good and evil wear the same treacherously seductive mask. She is soon faced with an even greater challenge: staying alive long enough to learn how to handle a power she had no idea she possessed–a gift that allows her to see beyond the world of man, into the dangerous realm of the Fae...

As Mac delves deeper into the mystery of her sister’s death, her every move is shadowed by the dark, mysterious Jericho, a man with no past and only mockery for a future. As she begins to close in on the truth, the ruthless Vlane–an alpha Fae who makes sex an addiction for human women–closes in on her. And as the boundary between worlds begins to crumble, Mac’s true mission becomes clear: find the elusive Sinsar Dubh before someone else claims the all-powerful Dark Book–because whoever gets to it first holds nothing less than complete control of the very fabric of both worlds in their hands...

390 Personally I don't like to read about rape or watch rape scenes in movies.

I read the descriptions and these books sound really good. I write cross-genre sometimes...wondering if I classify as steampunk rather than horror/fantasy. Steampunk is very new to me so I think I'm going to do some reading. Thanks for the suggestions!

390 Maybe in YA novels there's always a virgin but not in many of the novels I usually read. I think the reason why they always put a virgin in their story is to add that "sexual tension" when the two lead characters come together. You know, virgin girl & hot guy.

Hanging in there! I've been rejected twice already. Kind of glad I had because I've been thinking a lot about my manuscript and think it's lacking a firm conflict. I think I'm going to add a new chapter. I try to keep in mind that some of the best books out there were rejected numerous times before someone finally decided to publish them. Thanks for the encouragement!

390 Twilight was by far the worst for me. Even if I don't really care for a book, I really try to finish it but when it came to this one, I got half-way through and never picked it back up. Way too boring for me.
