12544 Hi Jill,

This Carol Burnett book is based on her traveling show where she did a live Q & A with the audience like she used to do at the end of her TV show. Very fast reading. I am enjoying it. It is filled with little stories about favorite guest stars, skits, shows. etc.

12544 I just finished Outlander and started This Time Together: Laughter and Reflections by Carol Burnett and am continuing to read A Day Late and a Dollar Short by Terry McMillan in my personal goal of reading all the books that have ever been # 1 on the NY Times Bestseller list. This book was # 1 for 3 weeks in February 2001

12544 Well actually since I just retired I have gone through my 12 books already and will shortly start on my 2 alternates. I know, I know. I just can't help myself.

12544 Thanks Marie-Vicky. A lot of the books on my list are ones I am reading for another group as well called the Seasonal Challenge. I'm close to finishing Hunger Games. That is quite a book. I think it is classified as YA but is a very good read for anyone.

12544 Since I am new to the group, is it too late to join the challenge?
12544 I'm actually actively reading 2 books.

Carved in Bone by Jefferson Bass Written by Dr. Bass the director of the real body farm at the University of Tennessee. I really like it so far. It is kind of a Patricia Cornwell style book.

I'm also reading Susannah's Garden by Debbie Macomber . Not sure about it yet.

12544 Rachel, welcome and I have a question for you. Why are you reading ONLY three books? tehe. I think I have 4 books and 2 audio books going at the moment. It is a disease.

12544 I just wanted to say welcome to Amy and Jbougiorno. It is good to have you join the rest of us book addicts. Admitting you have a problem is the first step you know.

12544 Glad you are here Wendy. I aplogize ahead of time for the jump in your TBR list (just when you thought you had things in order) tehehe

12544 Thanks for the great welcome! BTW Lynn my TBR list is already pretty substantial. I will need to live to be about 120 to read them all without adding another 1!

12544 Hi Everyone. My name is Sheila and I live in Illinois on the Mississippi River. I am 58, married, mom of 2 , grandma of 2. I very recently retired after 37 years as a respiratory therapist. I am very fortunate that I live only about 2 blocks from our new million $$ library. I have a difficult time reading regular or paperback print so usually order everything either in LP or audio. Our library is in a network with a whole bunch of other libraries so I can usually get what I need delivered to my local libary. I LOVE my library.

I am currently reading 5 books. (My hubby says I am the Queen of Multitasking). I just discovered goodreads this week and have been busy putting in my book list. (I am only up to the C's). Anyway I look forward to meeting you folks and sharing as well.
