1218 I have started reading the book and am really enjoying it so far. I am on page 103 and so far it is very intriguing. I can't wait to finish it.

1218 Have this book on hold at the library. It sounds really interesting so I look forward to reading it.

Loved The Book Thief. I love the idea of Death narrating. It made me realize that without Death we would not have Life. Sorry to sound philosophical but it's true.

I really enjoyed Lisey's Story. I thought it was a nice change from King's usual stuff. I agree that it was very strange though.

1218 I am currently reading "Brother Odd" by Dean Koontz. It is the third in the Odd series and of course is wonderful like most Koontz. He rarely writes a book I don't enjoy. I just read a book called "My Phantom Husband" for my live book club. Has anyone read it? If so please let me know what you thought. I thought it was very ambiguous and didn't really care for it much.

1218 Just bought "My Phantom Husband" from Amazon. It's good so far. I got upset though because I paid like 10 dollars for it and then a friend of mine got the same book from Amazon for like 65 cents. She had to pay 5 dollars for s & h though.

1218 I didn't really care for this book. I thought it was sweet that he found someone to believe him but it hard for me to get into this book. It was kind of dull.

1218 I just checked out Water for Elephants yesterday so I will probably start it soon. I'm reading another book right now so as soon as I finish it I will be ready.

1218 My most recent splurge is "Slum Dog Millionaire." It is what my 'live' book club chose to read. I have it lent out now though so I haven't read it.

1218 I am planning on checking it out as soon as I am done with "The Appeal." I've heard it is a great book so I look forward to it.

1218 I am reading "Nineteen Eighty-Four." I love it. I am almost done and all I want to do is get on my hands and knees and thank God that our government is not really like that. It's pretty scary.

1218 I have heard that "Water for Elephants" is really good. I look forward to reading it. I don't know much about "Angela's Ashes" so hopefully I'm in for a treat.

1218 I think I suggested this one for Feb. but here goes.

I have had times when I read a book and hated it. I read it later when I'm in the mood for that kind of book and really enjoy it. I'm glad I'm not the only one out there like that.

I just felt like I didn't connect with the characters. I have been recently informed though that I am a moody reader and if I read it again later I might enjoy it. It has happened before so maybe I'll try it again. Who knows?
